Amy Adams continued her designer style streak in a look from the Versace runway during her Monday night appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in New York City.

The Oscar-nominated actress turned to the Italian luxury fashion house’s spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, curated by former chief creative officer Dario Vitale. Adams wore a loose-fitting, long-sleeve black dress with ornate bead work in silver on the skirt and top.

The top of Adams’ dress was crafted with a deep V-shaped neckline, with one side of the look embellished with silver sequins in a diamond pattern. The motif was also featured on the opposite side of the dress’ flowing midi skirt, juxtaposing the black fabric with the shiny sequined embellishments.

A belt was added at the waist of the dress to provide a defined silhouette. As for finishing touches, the actress wore a pair of strappy black sandal heels and went minimalist with her accessories. Her auburn hair was styled with long, flowing waves that cascaded down her shoulders with a middle part. Makeup highlights included lined eyes and a glossy lip. Adams often works with stylist Petra Flannery.

Adams’ “Tonight Show” look made its runway debut during Milan Fashion Week in September 2025. The spring 2026 ready-to-wear curation marked Vitale’s first with Versace, where the couturier opted to focus on sensibility and streetwear more than anything else.

Vitale “wanted to make a statement on something that is very casual….I wanted to start with something that was closer to people and relevant,” the designer said, per Miles Socha’s WWD review of the collection.

“If your idea of Versace is red carpet showstoppers, there were none stalking the runway Friday night at the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana museum, whose vast collection of art includes a Medusa bust,” Socha wrote.

The collection “skewed more East Village disco than Met Gala, transposing Versace’s reputation for color, audaciousness and sex appeal into more everyday garments like T-shirts, sweaters, blousons, vests and jeans — all with an unabashed retro brio.” Vitale ultimately left his role with Versace in December 2025 after one season.

Adams is currently on the promotional tour for her new miniseries “Cape Fear.” Based on the novel “The Executioners” by John D. MacDonald, the series follows couple Tom and Anna, played by Patrick Wilson and Adams, as notorious killer from their past Max Cady, played by Javier Bardem, returns to their lives and seeks out revenge.
